You can’t go wrong with free stuff! Here is a list of free family water activities in Martin and St. Lucie.
1. Indian Riverside Park Interactive Fountain
1707 NE Indian River Dr, Jensen Beach, FL 34957
This is a good size fountain for kids to run and play in. There is also a little beach on the intracoastal right behind the fountain. Open daily 9am to 6pm.
2. Bathtub Beach (open)
1585 SE MacArthur Blvd, Stuart, FL 34996
Kid friendly beach with a reef that blocks the incoming waves so the water is calm and there are no dangerous tides.
3. PSL Civic Center Interactive Fountain
9221 SE Civic Center Pl, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952
Large Fountain with plenty of seating and large area for playing. This is my personal favorite since it’s large and has plenty of room for your kids to spread out. Open daily from 10am to dusk.
4. Tradition Square Interactive Fountain (closed until further notice)
SW Meeting St, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986
Smaller sized fountain right next to the local town square. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 9pm. The town square also has food truck festivals and family events every month. Check out their calender here.
5. Fort Pierce Inlet Beach
420 Seaway Dr, Fort Pierce, FL 34949
Fun little beach with good parking and barely any waves. Great for small children. Get there before 10am on any day for primo parking spots. They also have covered picnic areas with charcoal grills.
Sidenote: there are several inlet and intracoastal beaches in Martin and St. Lucie County. They are typically located around the bridges that lead to the ocean side beach.
Have fun out there and don’t forget the sunscreen. The sun will fry you alive. Thanks for reading!
